Job summary

NHS Grampian is recruiting an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Health Care team at HMP Grampian, delivering an occupation-focused approach to care planning and service delivery within a multidisciplinary setting.

The post supports direct access to mental health services for residents, with 7-day service expectations and supervision/teaching responsibilities for students. Interviews are on 18 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Registered Occupational Therapist with mental health/forensic experience desirable.
• Able to work autonomously and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Driving licence desirable for travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide an occupational perspective to care planning and service delivery.
• Support development of occupation-centred practice within the service.
• Contribute to supervision/mentoring of students and staff within the team.
