Job summary

NHS Grampian is recruiting an Occupational Therapist to join the Health Care team at HMP Grampian, contributing an occupational perspective to care planning and service delivery. The role requires autonomy within a complex environment and potentially working 7 days including weekends and holidays.

The post supports individuals in developing daily life skills to enhance health, wellbeing and community reintegration, with supervision and student training as integral to the service.

Qualifications

• Registered, experienced Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in mental health/forensic settings is desirable.
• Experience working with marginalised or socially excluded groups is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational perspective to care planning and service delivery.
• Help residents develop essential daily occupation skills to support health and reintegration.
• Engage in supervision, mentoring, and student training as part of the team.
