Job summary

East Sussex County Council is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the domiciliary therapy service covering Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford. You will assess adults in their homes, develop tailored treatment plans, and support independence to maximise wellbeing.

Working within the Joint Community Rehabilitation Service, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver person-centred care and safe, effective home-based rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with current registration.
• Experience delivering domiciliary/home-based OT.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload and travel across Eastbourne area.

Do you want to help people get back to being independent following a period of illness or injury? If you are a qualified Occupational Therapist, then this could be the role you are looking for.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our expanding and developing therapy service in the Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford area .

As an Occupational Therapist within JCR you will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support adults within their homes. You will assess the adults’ current function/needs and create and implement a tailored treatment plan to enable the adult to regain independence and continue to live safely at home.

Joint Community Rehabilitation Service (JCR) is an integrated countywide domiciliary service delivered by Adult Social Care (ASC) and East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (ESHT). We have recently been Highly Commended at the Great British Care Awards.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who

• Are qualified Occupational Therapists and registered with the professional regulatory body.
• Have effective communication skills.
• Have the ability to work well within a team.
• Have the ability to plan and organise a varied workload.
• Have experience operating under pressure where demand is constant and priorities need to be set/reviewed.
• Can demonstrate how they will meet the travel requirements of the role.
