Job Description

East Sussex County Council is committed to supporting residents to live safely and independently within their own homes. We are seeking one Occupational Therapist to join the Hastings & Rother Team.

You will be working in the community visiting people at home, including working collaboratively across health and social care to deliver practical solutions that make a real difference to people’s lives.

The role includes assessment, risk management, safeguarding, moving and handling, and reablement for adults and carers in line with the Care Act 2014.

We will support you to develop the skills you’ll need to manage the challenges of this role within a learning environment built on a culture of continual professional development.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who Have

• An Occupational Therapy qualification and registration with the professional regulatory body.
• Communication skills including report writing, liaising with members of the public, managers, and other agencies.
• Ability to plan and organise a varied workload for yourself, working to short deadlines within community and clinic settings.
• Experience of operating under pressure where demand is constant and priorities need to be set/reviewed.
• Ability to use initiative and take responsibility.
