A leading healthcare institution in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a dynamic Occupational Therapist for their inpatient team. This role focuses on managing patient care and supporting discharges in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Occupational Therapy and strong leadership skills, with opportunities for training and clinical development. Here at MSE, we are committed to providing a supportive environment for the development of Occupational Therapists. Our Southend Hospital department operates an integrated therapy service, where Occupational Therapists & Physiotherapists work alongside each other in a variety of the clinical areas. The culture of multi‑disciplinary working is well established and respected within the hospital.
We are currently looking for a dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our band 6 inpatient rotations initially working across the elderly / frailty service. This position offers the opportunity to develop clinically and managerially in a fast‑paced environment working within our established Inpatient Therapy Team.
Our Inpatient Therapy Team is led by our Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist with the support of Band 7 Team Leaders who are highly experienced in their fields. We have regular Occupational therapy team meetings and actively encourage CPD.
The post is part of our Inpatient Team which offers the opportunity to work across a variety of inpatient areas commencing on the elderly / frailty wards.
In return we offer training and clinical development opportunities with a comprehensive in‑service training programme and regular clinical supervision. We also provide additional support in order for staff to attend recognised courses within the area of the post to support staff development. The Therapy Team is also committed to supporting the development of leadership skills at Band 6 encouraging staff to attend relevant courses provided by the Trust.
