Job summary

West Berkshire Council is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Social Care Service. You will provide high-quality assessments and interventions to support independence and well-being, working with service users, families, and a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires HCPC registration and experience in social care settings, preferably within a Local Authority, with strong communication and assessment skills.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in social care setting, ideally in a Local Authority.
• Knowledge of legislation, policies and best practices related to occupational therapy.
• Excellent assessment and intervention skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users' occupational needs.
• Provide advice and recommendations for aids, adaptations, and equipment.
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Deliver interventions to promote independence and participation in daily activities.
• Monitor and review progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
