Occupational Therapist - Private Client Opportunity
Location: Widnes
Hours: 2 days per week
Fee: Attractive rates available
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 9-month maternity cover

Search Recruitment Group is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a private client in a highly specialist neuro-psychiatry and mental health setting. This position will be based in Widnes.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and contribute to the care and rehabilitation of individuals with complex neuro-psychiatric needs. You'll be responsible for supervising an entry-level Band 6 Occupational Therapist and an Occupational Therapy Assistant, so previous experience in leadership and supervision is essential.

About the Role:

1. Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions within a neuro-psychiatry and mental health context
2. Supervise and mentor a Band 6 OT and OTA to ensure excellent standards of care
3. Work alongside a comprehensive MDT, including a Neuropsychiatrist, Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, Physiotherapist, Hospital Manager, Clinical Manager, and Nursing Team
4. Manage a ward with up to 28 beds, with a full MDT team available to support clinical needs
5. Develop and implement tailored therapeutic interventions to support patients' rehabilitation and recovery

About You:

We're seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist with:

1. Experience in neuro-psychiatry and mental health settings
2. Experience in supervising staff (preferably at Band 6 or Band 7 level)
3. A strong understanding of rehabilitation needs and MDT working
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
5. HCPC registration
