Dunnock View in Clacton-on-Sea, Tendring, is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to begin or advance your career within a trauma-informed mental health service. You’ll work under supervision, delivering evidence-based OT assessments and treatment plans while supporting referrals and care pathways for both in-house and external partners.

Working alongside a dedicated team you will be working at a service providing treatment for men and women who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental health disorders. Under supervision, you will be responsible for planning and facilitating evidence-based group and individual programmes. You will create individual rapports with service users to empower recovery. As an Occupational Therapist you will be:

• Providing comprehensive OT assessments.
• Under supervision, planning and reviewing OT treatment programmes.
• Under supervision, identifying and actioning referrals both in-house, including support staff, and to external agencies
• Supporting the planning, evaluation, and audit of practices, clinical pathways and protocols at St Mary's Hospital.
• Ensuring that contemporaneous, written and electronic records and activity data are maintained following professional and services standards.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
• A UK HCPC registration or applied for
• Evidence of ability to research, plan, implement and evaluate a project for specific groups
• Effective written/verbal communication skills

Where you will be working:

Address: Dunnock View, Tendring, Clacton-on-Sea, CO16 0BX Be part of the team at this 42-bed service, providing treatment for men and women who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental health disorders. A trauma-informed care model is used to focus on length of stay to make sure individuals are able to move as quickly and safely as possible from the service to the most appropriate and least restrictive environment for them. Service users could be suffering from Acute mental illness, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Personality Disorder, Dual diagnosis, Self-harm, Substance misuse issues.
