Elysium Healthcare is recruiting an Occupational Therapist for Adderley Green Neurological Centre in Stoke-on-Trent for a 9-month fixed-term maternity cover.

You will join a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering evidence-based group and individual programmes under supervision, with access to training and career development. The role requires a Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration (or applying).

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC registration or currently applied for.
• Ability to plan, implement and evaluate projects for specific groups.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive OT assessments.
• Under supervision, planning and reviewing OT treatment programmes.
• Under supervision, identifying and actioning referrals both in-house, including support staff, and to external agencies
• Supporting the planning, evaluation, and audit of practices, clinical pathways and protocols.
• Ensuring that contemporaneous, written and electronic records and activity data are maintained following professional and services standards.

You will be working at Adderley Green, a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries.

The extensive facilities cater for the specific needs of people aged over 18 years who have complex neurological care and rehabilitation requirements. You will working alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver truly person‑centred services where each individual is at the heart of everything.

Adderley Green offers a full inter disciplinary team to support and enable residents to undergo reviews of their specific and/or changing needs and work towards targeted and monitored goals utilising nationally recognised outcome measures.
