Job summary

The Occupational Therapist within the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHT) at RDaSH delivers specialist assessment and recovery-focused intervention for people in acute mental health crisis, helping individuals stay at home where possible. The role supports independence, daily functioning and community participation, contributing to safe discharge planning.

Working in a multidisciplinary team, you will assess needs, create personalised recovery plans and promote admission avoidance.

Job description

The Occupational Therapist within the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHT) provides specialist, recovery-focused assessment and intervention for individuals experiencing an acute mental health crisis. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder supports people to remain safely at home where appropriate, promotes independence, and helps individuals regain daily functioning, meaningful activity and community participation. The role involves assessing occupational needs, developing personalised recovery plans, supporting admission avoidance and facilitating successful discharge from acute services
