NHS Tayside is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join the Community Mental Health Team, providing leadership and specialized interventions. This role includes working alongside diverse professionals and is committed to ongoing development and collaboration in community-based services.

An excellent opportunity has become available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health Teams. This position will be based at Community Mental Health Team West, located at Wedderburn House, with the potential for relocation to other areas of our community-based services in response to service developments and future needs.
As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will provide leadership to the wider Occupational Therapy team at Community Mental Health Team West and deliver specialised interventions through both individual and group sessions. The appointed individual will receive comprehensive support from our experienced Leadership Team, aimed at fostering service development and enhancing the professional growth of the Occupational Therapy team.
This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a diverse range of professionals, including Psychiatry, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Peer Support, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Dietetics. Additionally, engagement with partners from local voluntary organisations, advocacy services, employment agencies, and care provider organisations will be an integral part of your practice.
Applicants must be currently registered with the HCPC and possess a diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy. Our commitment to ongoing supervision and professional development will support your growth and success in this specialist role.

Hours of work are: 35 hours per week. The service currently operates 9am-5pm Monday Friday however there is an aspiration for community services to be 7 days per week which you would be required to participate in.
