Job summary

Optima Health is seeking an Occupational Health Screening Nurse in the UK to join a team delivering immunisations, health surveillance and vaccine administration. The role offers a strong training track and opportunities to pursue additional qualifications or leadership responsibilities.

You will work across Nottingham, Lincoln and Grantham with 22.5 hours per week, Tuesday to Thursday, and the salary is in the £34.5k–£36.5k range plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with NMC registration
• Experience delivering injections
• Experience delivering immunisations or venepuncture (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Deliver Occupational Health services and clinics focusing on immunisations and vaccinations
• Advise clients on current immunisation services and recommendations
• Conduct immunisation health assessments and surveillance for work-related risks
• Promote employee health and wellbeing across the business
• Provide health education to maximise participation in health activities
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team, sharing knowledge and supporting peers
• Maintain registration and CPD to meet NMC standards

Role Summary

We are looking for an Occupational Health Screening Nurse to join the Optima team. This is a varied role, carrying out a mixture of immunisations, health surveillance and administering vaccines. If you want to carry out additional training and qualifications or take on a leadership and management responsibility, then we will help support you.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Delivering a range of Occupational Health services and clinics for our client, with a focus on immunisations and vaccinations.
• Advise our clients on current immunisation services and recommendations for improvement.
• Conducting immunisation health assessments and surveillance, relating to potential exposure to health risks at work.
• Promoting employee health and wellbeing for our clients and across the wider business.
• Giving health education on relevant issues, promoting a healthy lifestyle to all employees in order to maximise participation in activities at work and elsewhere.
• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team by sharing knowledge, supporting and challenging your peers.
• Maintaining registration and Continuous Professional Development by meeting or exceeding standards set by the NMC.
