Job summary

Occupational Health Staffing are recruiting an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor/Team Leader to work in Rosyth with home-based arrangements. The role is split: remote case management two days per week and leading the OH team onsite three days per week.

The successful candidate will assess fitness to work, lead the OH team, deliver health surveillance, conduct drug and alcohol testing, and ensure compliance with current legislation.

Qualifications

• Experienced Occupational Health Nurse Advisor with a qualification in Occupational Health.
• Strong case management and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess fitness to work and manage referrals, in person and remotely.
• Provide professional leadership to OH Technicians, nurses and the OH team, including clinical auditing and quality assurance.
• Support and mentor the team, ensuring training and professional development opportunities.
• Lead the delivery of health surveillance programmes and ensure compliance with current legislation.
• Conduct drug and alcohol testing, medical assessments, and consultations as required.
• Write reports and letters to GPs and specialists, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation such as the Access to Medical Reports Act and Data Protection Act.
• Develop and implement health promotion initiatives in collaboration with the broader OH team.
• Maintain up-to-date records and ensuring compliance with departmental protocols.
• Collaborate with client managers and external professionals to build effective working relationships and maintain high standards of service delivery.
• Manage resources, equipment, and staffing requirements in partnership with the Clinical Operations Manager.
