Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting an Occupational Health Advisor in Rosyth for a hybrid role, combining office and home-based work. The role offers a salary of £40,000–£45,000 per year, with flexible hours between 8 am and 6 pm to support work-life balance.

You will lead occupational health services, perform health surveillance, and mentor a team of OH professionals, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. Rosyth location with hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health is required.
• NMC registration (Part 1) is required.
• Demonstrable experience in Occupational Health practice.
• Managerial experience with ability to motivate and support teams.
• Experience conducting health screenings, medicals and drug and alcohol testing.
• Strong understanding of professional accountability and clinical governance.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients’ fitness for work and manage referrals in-person and remotely.
• Provide professional leadership to Occupational Health Technicians, nurses and team, incl. auditing and QA.
• Support and mentor the team, ensuring training and professional development.
• Lead delivery of health surveillance programmes, ensuring compliance with legislation.
• Conduct drug and alcohol testing, medicals and consultations as required.
• Write reports/letters to GPs and specialists, ensuring GDPR and Access to Medical Reports Act compliance.
• Develop and implement health promotion initiatives with the OH team.

What you will do:
