Occupational Health Nurse Advisor| Immingham| FT| Onsite| Perm| Up to £45k DOE

At Latus,we believe the very best occupational health support is delivered by clinicians who have the time to build meaningful relationships, understand the realities of the workplace and provide truly person-centered care.

We've been appointed to deliver a dedicated onsite occupational health service for one of our key clients and are looking for an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to become the trusted face of that service.

Unlike traditional occupational health roles that involve managing high volumes of appointments across multiple clients, this position offers the opportunity to embed yourself within a single organisation. You'll gain a deep understanding of its people, culture and operational environment, building credible, long-term relationships with employees, managers and senior leaders alike.

This is an opportunity to move beyond a transactional approach to occupational health. By supporting one client, you'll see the real impact of your advice over time, contribute to a healthier workforce and support employees throughout their career journey, not just during individual assessments.

You'll enjoy the autonomy and influence that comes with an onsite role while benefiting from the support, expertise and clinical governance of Latus' experienced leadership team and one of the UK's largest occupational health networks. Together, we'll enable you to make a genuine difference where it matters most.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out management referrals, sickness absence and fitness for work assessments
  • Give balanced, practical advice on reasonable adjustments and safe, sustainable returns to work
  • Write clear, high-quality reports that help managers make informed decisions
  • Provide continuity of care, following up with employees where ongoing support will help
  • Liaise with GPs, hospitals and specialist services, and escalated to the OHP when needed
  • Deliver statutory and risk-based health surveillance for the site, such as audiometry, spirometry, skin checks, vision screening and Hand Arm Vibration assessments, in line with the site’s risk profile
  • Provide drug and alcohol testing, vaccinations, phlebotomy and travel health advice as the contract requires
  • Run the onsite clinic day to day, keeping equipment calibrated, stock managed and the environment safe
  • Support DSE and workplace assessments, and contribute to first aid and emergency arrangements on site
Key Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with active NMC registration
  • Occupational health experience, including management referrals, case management and fitness for work assessments
  • Experience of health surveillance (e.g. audiometry, spirometry, vision screening)
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Equality Act 2010, COSHH, noise and vibration regulations, and UK GDPR
  • Understanding of how work affects health and health affects work
  • Clear, practical report writing that helps managers make informed decisions
  • Confident communicator with employees, managers, HR and senior leaders
  • Accurate, timely clinical record keeping and good IT skills
  • Compassionate, proactive and person-centred
  • Confident working independently while staying connected to the wider Latus team
  • Calm and professional under pressure, with high personal standards
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and an additional day off to celebrate your birthday
  • Bupa Healthcare Cash Plan to support your health and wellbeing
  • Life insurance for added peace of mind
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Yodha Wellbeing App, providing access to same-day GP appointments, counselling support, and wellbeing resources
  • Exclusive employee discounts across a wide range of retail brands
  • Private Medical Insurance (PMI) through our provider Vitality
  • CPD- Committed to continuous professional development, with dedicated CPD and training opportunities.
