OH Medical in Glasgow is recruiting an Occupational Health Adviser to join an established in-house team. The role delivers a varied Occupational Health service, helping employees stay healthy and safe at work while providing clear, practical guidance to managers.

This permanent opportunity combines face-to-face clinical work, case management and support for Occupational Health Technicians, based fully on site in Glasgow.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Recognised Occupational Health qualification (diploma/degree/MSc).
• Recent practical experience in health surveillance and case management.
• Excellent assessment, report-writing and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence working independently and managing workload.
• Good IT skills and knowledge of confidentiality and GDPR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health surveillance and fitness-for-work assessments.
• Manage Occupational Health referrals and sickness absence cases.
• Advise on workplace adjustments and appropriate return-to-work support.
• Prepare accurate reports that provide practical recommendations.
• Support and supervise Occupational Health Technicians.
• Maintain confidential clinical records and contribute to service performance reporting.
• Build effective working relationships with employees, HR and line managers.

Salary: £43,588–£51,719 per annum, depending on experience
Contract: Permanent, full time
Working arrangement: Fully site based
