Job summary

OH Medical Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting an experienced Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join an established Wellbeing team. You will deliver a proactive service covering case management, health surveillance, pre-employment screening and health promotion.

The role supports the OH team autonomously within a multidisciplinary setting, providing professional Occupational Health guidance to employees and managers to promote a healthy workforce.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with current NMC PIN.
• Minimum two years' post-registration general nursing experience.
• At least one year's experience within an Occupational Health setting.
• Experience conducting health screening and health surveillance (audiometry, vision, spirometry).
• Experience completing fitness for work and pre-employment assessments.
• Strong Occupational Health report writing skills with sickness absence/return-to-work recommendations.
• Venepuncture skills.
• An Occupational Health qualification, or working towards one, would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied Occupational Health caseload, including management referrals and fitness for work assessments.
• Provide clear advice to managers regarding attendance, health issues and return-to-work recommendations.
• Undertake health surveillance including audiometry, vision and spirometry.
• Complete pre-employment health screening and assessments.
• Support psychological risk assessment and screening programmes.
• Develop and support workplace health promotion initiatives.
• Produce high-quality Occupational Health reports and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Work collaboratively with the wider HR and Wellbeing team to support effective service delivery.
