Job summary

Recruiting Heads Ltd is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse or Advisor to lead the delivery of Occupational Health services at a key UK manufacturing site in Greater Manchester (WA3). The role offers strategic input, clinical practice, and opportunities to shape Health services across multiple locations, with strong senior leadership backing.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active NMC registration.
• Diploma in Occupational Health Practice (or equivalent).
• Experience in Occupational Health, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Experience delivering health surveillance programmes and fitness-for-work assessments.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
• Interest in developing and improving Occupational Health services over time.

Responsibilities

• Deliver health surveillance programmes including COSHH, Noise and HAVS.
• Conduct fitness for work and capability assessments.
• Support sickness absence management, rehabilitation and phased return to work.
• Provide advice on physical health, mental wellbeing and workplace adjustments.
• Deliver workplace assessments and Drug & Alcohol testing where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure OH compliance with legislation.
• Monitor workforce health trends and recommend preventative initiatives.
• Collaborate with HR, managers and Health & Safety to continuously improve OH provision.
• Contribute to long-term development of OH services as the organisation expands.
