Job summary

Dovecote Park is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to support our meat production operations. The role is site-based at Pontefract, with some travel between sites.

You will deliver health surveillance (audiometry, spirometry), fitness-for-work assessments, and immunisation programmes, maintain confidential records, and collaborate with HR and safety teams. A current NMC registration and an occupational health qualification are required, plus a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration.
• Proven occupational health experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience delivering health surveillance and occupational health case management.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and food standards.
• Experience delivering immunisation and health programmes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a comprehensive occupational health service to employees within the food industry.
• Carry out health surveillance activities, including audiometry, spirometry and other statutory assessments.
• Conduct fitness-for-work and pre-placement medical assessments.
• Support workplace drug and alcohol testing.
• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records in accordance with governance and GDPR.
• Work collaboratively with HR, Health & Safety and operational teams to provide OH advice.
• Promote employee health, wellbeing and preventative health initiatives.
• Manage occupational health casework, including sickness absence and return-to-work support.

About the Role
