OH Medical Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an Occupational Health Advisor for a site-based service in West Bromwich. You will work with HR and line managers to deliver health surveillance, pre-employment screening, and wellbeing initiatives.

This role suits an experienced OH professional who can work autonomously in a busy operational environment and build strong relationships across the business, with a preference for food manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

Job description

OH Medical is recruiting for an Occupational Health Advisor to join a site-based Occupational Health service in West Bromwich. Working closely with HR and line managers, you will deliver a comprehensive Occupational Health service, with a particular focus on health surveillance, fitness for work assessments, case management and employee wellbeing.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health professional who enjoys working autonomously within a busy operational environment and building strong relationships across the business. The role would particularly suit someone with experience in manufacturing, although food manufacturing experience is preferred rather than essential.

Duties

• Deliver statutory health surveillance and maintain compliance across the site.
• Undertake pre-employment health screening and fitness for work assessments.
• Support HR and line managers with absence, ill-health and capability case management.
• Provide practical and timely Occupational Health advice.
• Coordinate and promote health and wellbeing campaigns.
• Deliver health education through written information and training sessions.
• Complete health surveillance KPIs and reporting.
• Build effective relationships with Occupational Health, Health & Safety, HR and management teams.

Criteria

• Registered General Nurse with a recognised Occupational Health qualification.
• Competent and up to date with statutory health surveillance requirements.
• Able to provide expert, timely and practical Occupational Health advice.
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
• Organised and methodical approach to confidential records management and data protection.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively within a site-based environment.
• Previous experience within food manufacturing would be beneficial but is not essential.

• £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
