Job summary

Optima Health in Newcastle-upon-Tyne is seeking an Occupational Health Manager to coordinate the clinical delivery of a client contract, ensuring a safe, efficient and high‑quality occupational health service. This permanent role is on site with flexible hours (full time or part time, 22.5–37.5 hours weekly).

Three days onsite with some remote work on other contracts; working pattern 08:30–16:30, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered General Nurse with Occupational Health experience.
• OH qualification or currently studying towards it.
• Proven track record of managing OH contracts.
• Current NMC registration.
• Case management experience as an Occupational Health Advisor.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical aspects of the contract and support clinical governance.
• Provide expert occupational health advice and attend meetings with partners.
• Oversee day-to-day clinical coordination to ensure safe delivery.
• Mentor OH Advisors and support clinical learning without direct line management.
• Ensure current, evidence-based clinical guidance and documentation.
• Assist with investigations, case reviews and PAM referrals.
• Deliver pre-placement assessments and immunisations where required.
• Participate in clinical audits and monthly performance reports.
