Job summary

Southend University Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Ultrasonographer to join our maternity ultrasound service. You will perform obstetric and gynaecology scans, provide accurate dating, and liaise with obstetric clinicians to support antenatal care.

The post requires a postgraduate certificate in obstetrics and gynaecology (CASE accredited or equivalent) and DQASS accreditation for Nuchal scanning.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate certificate in obstetrics and gynaecology (CASE accredited or equivalent).
• DQASS accreditation for Nuchal scanning is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetrics and gynaecology.
• Provide accurate dating based on fetal ultrasound measurements to support antenatal care planning.
• Liaise with obstetric clinicians and midwives regarding ultrasound findings and patient management.
• Participate in outreach and multi-disciplinary training within the radiology department.
