Role Overview

As an Observability Engineer, you'll work within our SRE teams to design, build, and improve our O11Y platform. This involves strategic planning and hands-on development to enhance system monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting, collaborating across teams to ensure optimal system visibility.

Responsibilities

1. Assess & Enhance Observability: Review and improve current platforms.
2. Design & Implement Solutions: Develop insights into system health.
3. Dashboard Development: Create informative dashboards for system visibility.
4. Automation & Alerting: Automate monitoring and detect anomalies.
5. Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with various teams to ensure system performance.
6. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a unified observability strategy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, focusing on Observability.
• Proficiency with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.
• Experience with high-volume data storage.
• Strong technical skills with Linux, scripting (Bash, Python, Golang).
• Knowledge of cloud and on-premise systems.
• Understanding of DevOps principles.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
