Job summary

CentroMed is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians with examinations and nursing tasks. You will administer vaccines, medicines, and routine treatments, while maintaining patient records and infection control standards.

The role requires completion of a Medical Assisting Program and at least a year of clinic/hospital experience, with a commitment to compassionate patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent and completion of Medical Assisting Program.
• Experience: 1 year experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician with physical examinations and nursing procedures as documented.
• Administer immunizations following clinical protocols and provider's instructions.
• Administer medications and treatments ordered by the provider.
• Check treatment room equipment and stock supplies; maintain sterile conditions.
• Perform venipuncture as ordered by the provider.
• Maintain lab duties, document results, and notify providers of abnormalities.
• Travel to Centro Del Barrio sites to carry out duties as needed.
