Job summary

Cooper Green Mercy is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) for Primary Care I to assist with patient care, take vitals, document in the EHR, and support providers under supervision.

The role requires CCMA certification, CPR/BLS, and at least 2 years of clinical experience. You will perform EKGs, urine tests, and medication administration per orders, while maintaining a safe, organized clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with CCMA certification.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association/Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct and indirect nursing care; stock exam rooms.
• Take and record vitals; perform EKGs and point-of-care tests.
• Obtain health history data and document in EHR.
• Administer medications per provider's orders.
• Provide patient/family instruction per protocol; maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain safe, organized clinical environment; adhere to safety rules.
• Utilize department equipment properly.
• Handle patient inquiries and manage EHR communications.
• Provide coverage across departments as needed to ensure staffing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
