Dawley Brook Primary School invites applications for an L2 SEND Teaching Assistant to join the Oak Tree SEND Unit. This part-time role is 30 hours per week, term time only, within our inclusive primary setting.

The successful candidate will support children with SEND, work with a dedicated team, and help deliver tailored activities and learning support in a specialist unit.

Qualifications

• L2 SEND TEACHING ASSISTANT required.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND.
• Able to work as part of a team in a specialist unit.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching staff in the Oak Tree SEND Unit.
• Assist in implementing individual education plans and activities.

DAWLEY BROOK PRIMARY SCHOOL - OAK TREE SEND UNIT

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated L2 SEND TEACHING ASSISTANT to join our highly qualified team of SEND teachers and support staff. This post attracts a SEND allowance

Oak Tree SEND Unit is a Local Authority-commissioned specialist provision for children with Education, Health and Care Plans identifying communication and interaction as their primary need . Oak Tree operates as an integral part of our inclusive school community: The highly inclusive culture is one of the standout features of Dawley Brook . Pupils who have struggled elsewhere thrive here (Ofsted March 2024).

We have had extensive Local Authority capital investment in our Oak Tree SEND Unit this summer, commissioning additional places and by January 2027, we will have 24 learners .
