Job summary

NHS England is seeking an outstanding Training Programme Director for Obstetrics & Gynaecology with a focus on Trainees Requiring Additional Support (TRAS). This is a 1 PA/4 hours per week vacancy, pro-rata for variations.

• Experienced NHS Consultant with thorough understanding of O&G training in the region.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to lead a multi-professional team.
• Ability to support learner supervision, assessments and educational outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Training Programme and address specialty matters.
• Manage recruitment to training posts and programmes with appropriate rotations and remediation.
• Coordinate postgrad programme management, including assessments, progression and support.
• Engage in TRAS-focused activities and drive whole workforce transformation.
• Collaborate across health and social care sectors within a team context.
