Job summary

TEACH PLUS UK LIMITED is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets to appoint an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join the early years team.

You will support children in the EYFS, helping them develop communication, social skills, confidence and independence through a mix of structured and play-based learning. The role is full-time, ASAP start, and pays £108–£115 per day in line with UK school support staff scales.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an EYFS or nursery setting.
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
• Good understanding of early childhood development.
• Experience supporting communication and language development.
• Warm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Valid DBS on the Update Service is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support children throughout the EYFS classroom.
• Assist with play-based and structured learning activities.
• Support children's communication and language development.
• Encourage social skills, independence and positive behaviour.
• Help create an engaging and stimulating learning environment.
• Work with individuals and small groups where appropriate.
• Support observations and contribute to assessing children's development.
• Assist with classroom organisation and preparation.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team.
• Follow safeguarding and school procedures.
