Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a dedicated Children's Residential Support Worker to provide safe, nurturing care for children and young people in residential settings. You will promote emotional and physical wellbeing within a therapeutic framework.

The role involves developing individual care plans, supporting education and activities, and adhering to safeguarding policies. Applicants should be willing to pursue relevant qualifications and may hold an Enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people is desirable.
• Willingness to work towards relevant qualifications in Children and Young People’s Services.
• Full UK driving Licence is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, consistent, and child-centred care to children and young people.
• Support emotional and psychological wellbeing, fostering a positive environment.
• Work as part of a team to develop and review individual care plans.
• Promote equality, inclusion, and safeguard every child in your care.
• Support children in developing personal hygiene, life skills, and acceptable behavioural standards.
• Engage children in educational, leisure, and social activities, including trips and holidays.
• Follow safeguarding policies, report any concerns immediately, and maintain professional boundaries.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and reflective practice.
• Undertake household duties like cooking, cleaning, and caring for children who are unwell.
• Be flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins, to meet service needs.
