Job summary

Pikes Peak Post Acute is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to ensure adequate and appropriate nursing department staffing aligned with budget and census. You will assist with administrative duties, scheduling, and reporting to facility leadership.

Responsibilities include maintaining phone lists, coordinating interviews, processing time cards, and supporting nursing supervisory staff in daily operations and staffing decisions.

Qualifications

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining a current listing of resident care employee phone numbers and department managers’ numbers.
  • Maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars and report excess occurrences to DNS.
  • Prepare reports and communicate staffing/scheduling issues to DNS and HR as needed.
  • Coordinate interviews and orientation for new hires and ensure time cards and schedules are ready.
  • Develop and maintain good rapport with interdepartmental personnel and other departments.
  • Review complaints and grievances related to scheduling and staffing, reporting to DNS.
  • Assist with standardizing methods to improve efficiency and accuracy in staffing.
