Job summary

Powys Teaching Health Board seeks a senior nursing leader to act as Assistant Director of Nursing, Quality & Safety. You will drive strategic and operational leadership across quality, safety, and patient experience, ensuring governance and learning from incidents are embedded across the organisation.

Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director of Nursing, Quality & Safety, you will lead improvement programmes, support regulatory inspections and collaborate with clinicians and partners to deliver

Qualifications

• Registered NMC/AHP professional with master’s level education or equivalent senior leadership experience.
• Extensive strategic experience within Quality & Safety, including patient experience and engagement frameworks.
• Strong knowledge and application of nationally reportable incident frameworks and serious incident review processes.
• Proven leadership experience in managing and delivering services within complex healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across the Quality and Safety portfolio, including patient safety, patient experience, concerns, redress and claims.
• Lead quality improvement programmes and oversee governance arrangements.
• Embed learning from incidents, complaints and feedback across the organisation.
• Collaborate with executives, clinicians and partners to drive continuous improvement.
