Job summary

Herts Urgent Care in the United Kingdom seeks a senior nurse and clinical quality leader to set strategic direction for nursing and Allied Health Professional workforce and embed a culture of clinical excellence across all services.

You will champion patient safety, safeguarding, infection prevention and control, and clinical governance, providing board-level assurance to regulators, commissioners and the Board.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic clinical and operational leadership for nursing and AHP workforce, setting standards that promote clinical excellence.
• Lead delivery of the Quality Strategy, owning clinical governance, incident reporting, risk management, audit and learning from harm.
• Hold organisational accountability for safeguarding and infection prevention and control, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (CQC, NHS England, UKHSA), prepare inspection evidence and provide board-level assurance on safety and quality.
• Develop and implement a professional education and career framework aligned to Build Your Own, including CPD to grow and retain talent.
• Line manage key leaders and support workforce through visible clinical leadership and mentorship.
• Partner with the CMO, Operations and executives to shape innovative service models, digital triage and telehealth.
