Hartford Care Ltd. in Burnham, Buckinghamshire, is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead a 49-bed nursing home and oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and a warm, person-centred environment for residents and staff.

The role requires Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, strong leadership in residential care, excellent communication, and solid budget management. Salary is £60k plus bonus with a range of staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a residential care setting.
• Strong understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards and person-centred care principles.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team.
• Solid IT skills and confidence managing budgets and resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all operational, financial, and care-related functions of the home.
• Ensure full compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care for residents’ physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
• Oversee recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management of staff.
• Ensure accurate care planning, medication administration, and safeguarding practices.
• Manage occupancy levels and liaison with external stakeholders.
• Maintain quality assurance through audits, meetings, and reporting.
• Uphold the values and brand standards of the organisation.
