A leading healthcare provider is looking for a Full Time Nursing Associate to join their Specialist Palliative Care Service in Watford. The role involves working with a dedicated team to provide compassionate care to patients in various settings. The ideal candidate will be organized, flexible, and possess a good sense of humor. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Specialist Palliative Care Service based at BRE Science Park, Watford. This is a new role within the service, working alongside a well-established team of nurses and doctors who operate in home and care home settings across West Hertfordshire.
Our ideal candidate will be well-organized, flexible, approachable, professional, and above all, compassionate, with a good understanding of the needs of both patients and team members, as well as other health professionals. You should have a good sense of humor to blend well within the team and maintain a calm, considered approach to your work.
Your skills should include having a car driver’s license with access to your own vehicle, along with knowledge, compassion, and empathy for patients with long-term conditions who may be rapidly deteriorating. An understanding of the support needed by carers and the ability to work autonomously, prioritizing your daily tasks, are essential.
The service provides a 7-day operation, currently from 9 am to 5 pm. We anticipate this role to be Monday to Friday, though this may be subject to change.
In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a fringe Cost Area Supplement.
