Job summary

St Andrews House Medical Centre in Stalybridge, Greater Manchester, is seeking a Nursing Associate to join our GP Surgery team. You will work with the Practice Nurse to deliver planned patient care and support the multidisciplinary team within a well-run practice.

You must be registered with the NMC as a Nursing Associate and possess appropriate qualifications. The role includes injections, diabetes care support, health checks, and routine clinic duties in a 6000-patient practice.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration as Nursing Associate.
• Evidence of appropriate Nursing Associate qualification and training.
• Understanding of the NMC Code and professional accountability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Work within your professional competence and manage your workload.
• Support the Practice Nurse in delivering patient care.
• Coordinate patient care with GP partners and PCN staff.
• Perform clinical tasks such as venepuncture, ECGs, INR management, spirometry, vaccinations.
• Record NHS Health Checks on EMIS and maintain accurate observations.
