Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for an experienced Nursery Assistant to cover a long-term contract in a Guildford nursery from October, full-time. You will support learning through play, assist with phonics and early communication, and help with social and emotional development for children aged 1–3 years.

Requirements include recent UK nursery experience, DBS update, and a proactive, caring approach. Day rates vary: £93 for 3+ months' experience; £100 with Level 3 TA qualification and >12

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a UK nursery school or children's centre setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly in 1:1 capacity.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted 1:1 or small group support for pupils across Nursery and EYFS.
• Support pupils with mild to moderate SEND and help access the curriculum.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to monitor progress and well-being.
• Support preparation of learning resources and classroom activities.

Nursery Assistant - Nurseries and Childrens Centres in GuildfordTradewind Recruitment are looking for an experienced Nursery Assistant to step into a long-term cover contract at Nursery in Guildford from October on a full-time basis. The role is best suited to an experienced Nursery Assistant with prior experience working with age 1 - 3 years. With growing demand across Nursery and Reception classes, we are looking for caring and proactive individuals who can support young children during these vital early stages of development. Roles will involve supporting learning through play, assisting with phonics and early communication, encouraging social and emotional development, and providing tailored support for children with additional needs from age 1 - 3 years, at Nurseries and Children Centres.

The Role:

• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management

The Ideal Candidate:

• Have recent experience working in a UK nursery school or children centre setting
• Have experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly in a 1:1 capacity
• Demonstrate strong communication, patience and adaptability
• Be enthusiastic about supporting children's learning and development
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)

Pay

• £93 per day for candidates with a minimum of 3 months experience supporting children or young people in an educational, care or SEND setting.
• £100 per day for candidates who hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have over 12 months previous experience supporting pupils with SEND including ASc, ADHD, SEMH or SLD or experience with personal care.
