Job summary

Oasis Academy Skinner Street is opening a new Nursery in January 2027 and seeks an experienced practitioner to support a safe, engaging environment where children develop confidence and early learning skills.

You will work in partnership with the EYFS Lead to create an exceptional learning environment, build strong relationships with families, and contribute to the wider school community.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a Nursery/EYFS classroom and supporting families with the transition into Nursery/School.
• Passion for early education and ability to deliver engaging learning activities.
• Ability to quickly develop rapport with all members of the school community and maintain appropriate boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Create a caring, stimulating environment for learning for Nursery/Reception children.
• Assist with planning and preparing age-appropriate lessons and activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner to work in our purpose built new Nursery opening in January 2027. Located within our well-established academy, you will play an important role in supporting a safe, engaging and stimulating environment where children can develop their confidence, independence and early learning skills. Having invested heavily in our Academy, including our Nursery and EYFS area, we are seeking an innovative and energetic practitioner to take this to the next level. Working in partnership with the EYFS Lead, you will make your mark on the Academy and create an exceptional educational environment for the youngest students, setting them up for success. You'll be responsible for:

• Creating a caring, stimulating and engaging environment that enables all pupils to learn effectively, mindful of the fact that some pupils, will not have experience attending a similar setting
• Assisting with planning and preparing lessons and learning activities appropriate for the age group and ability of the children in the class
• Actively participating in the Oasis Skinner Street family, working to ensure the best outcomes for all children, and supporting the wider community

You'll bring:

• Experience of working in a Nursery/EYFS classroom and supporting families with the transition into Nursery/School, with a track record of building strong relationships to boost attainment and attendance
• A passion for education of the littlest learners, with expertise in various methods of delivering engaging learning activities
• An ability to quickly develop rapport with all members of the school community, while developing and maintaining appropriate boundaries
