Job summary

Mayplace Primary School, part of The Primary First Trust, is seeking a Nursery Teaching Assistant to work with the Nursery Teacher, supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing in a warm Early Years environment. You will help deliver the EYFS curriculum, plan and run play-based activities, supervise children, observe progress, and build positive relationships with children and parents.

The role requires a childcare qualification and a genuine passion for early childhood.

Mayplace Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our team from the start of the new term. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education and wants to make a real difference to the youngest children in our school community.

About The Role

You will work alongside the Nursery Teacher to support children's learning, development, and wellbeing in a warm, stimulating Early Years environment.

Day To Day This Includes

• Supporting the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Helping to plan and deliver engaging play-based activities.
• Supervising and supporting children during learning, play, and routines (including care needs such as toileting and feeding, where required).
• Observing and recording children's progress and development.
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, and carers.
• Maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
