Job summary

Hays Education in Wolverhampton is recruiting a qualified Nursery Teacher for a maternity cover from September to December 2026. You will take responsibility for a Nursery class, delivering engaging learning in line with the EYFS framework, using existing planning while adapting lessons to suit pupils' needs and your teaching style.

The successful candidate will create a positive, inclusive learning environment, monitor progress, and work closely with support staff, parents and school leaders.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Previous experience teaching within a Nursery or EYFS setting
• Excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A nurturing and child-centred approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
• A passion for supporting children during the important early stages of their education

Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wolverhampton to recruit a qualified Nursery Teacher for a maternity cover position from September to December 2026.
