Nursery Teacher

Area: Northampton

Salary: £150-210 p/day (Agency working regulations to apply post 12 weeks)

Start date: ASAP

Hours of work: Full Time Temp to Perm Opportunity

A large two-form entry primary school in Northampton is recruiting for a Nursery Qualified Teacher. The role begins in September 2025. The school will consider both ECT & final year students. Experience in Nursery is advantageous but not essential. The school is graded as 'Good' with outstanding leadership. It offers a friendly, supportive environment that fosters a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning atmosphere. Applicants must be trained Nursery Teachers.

The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Hold QTS or QTLS
  • Have the ability and knowledge to teach primary school pupils
  • Be highly organized with excellent communication skills
  • Desire to work with, inspire, and support children from diverse backgrounds
  • Possess excellent behaviour management skills
  • Understand Teachers Standards expectations
Main Responsibilities
  • Teaching in Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Planning lessons and activities for whole class and group learning
  • Supporting SEND children within the classroom
  • Managing difficult behaviours and implementing the school behaviour policy
  • Safeguarding vulnerable pupils
  • Supervising lunch and break times (if required)
  • Supporting and managing teaching assistants
  • Building relationships with staff and pupils
  • Collecting evidence of pupils' work for assessments
  • Providing feedback on pupils' progress
  • Having pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
  • Potentially leading a subject area
  • Promoting a team approach with parents and carers
