Area: Northampton

Salary: £150-210 p/day (Agency working regulations to apply after 12 weeks)

Start date: ASAP

Hours of work: Full Time Temp to Perm Opportunity

A large two-form entry primary school in the heart of Northampton is recruiting for a Nursery Qualified Teacher. The role begins in September 2025. The school will consider both ECTs and final year students. Experience within this age group would be advantageous but not essential. The school is graded as 'Good' with outstanding feedback for management and leadership. They strive to create a friendly, supportive working environment for staff, fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for pupils. You must be a Trained Nursery Teacher to be considered for this role.

The Ideal Candidate Will
  • QTS or QTLS
  • Ability and knowledge to teach primary school pupils
  • Highly organized with excellent communication skills
  • Desire to work with, inspire, and support children from all needs and backgrounds
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Understanding of the Teachers Standards
Main Responsibilities
  • Teach in Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Plan lessons and activities for whole class and group learning
  • Support SEND children with their work in a class setting
  • Manage difficult behaviours and implement the school behaviour policy
  • Safeguard vulnerable pupils
  • Supervise during lunch and break times (if required)
  • Support and manage teaching assistants within the classroom
  • Build relationships with staff and pupils
  • Collect evidence of pupils' work to support assessments
  • Provide feedback on pupils' progress to relevant staff
  • Have pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
  • Potentially lead in a subject area
  • Promote a team approach to education with stakeholders such as parents and carers
