Job summary

Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming primary school in Birkenhead looking for a passionate Nursery Teacher to join on a full-time maternity cover basis. The role requires delivering high-quality EYFS education within the Nursery provision and building strong relationships with children and families.

• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Monitor and assess children's progress and adapt activities accordingly.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and wider EYFS team.
• Engage with parents and carers to support transitions into Reception.

The role:

You'll be working within the school's Nursery provision, creating a stimulating environment where children can learn through play, explore their interests and develop the confidence and independence they need for the next stage of their education.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate EYFS learning
• Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development
• Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
• Encouraging curiosity, communication and independence
• Monitoring and assessing children's progress
• Working closely with teaching assistants and the wider EYFS team
• Building positive relationships with parents and carers
• Supporting the smooth transition of children into Reception
