Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking a Nursery Teaching Assistant for a full-time, term-time role in the LS4 area of Leeds. You will support children aged 3-4 in the school nursery, assisting with EYFS play-based learning and helping the Early Years team throughout the day.

Nursery Teaching Assistant - Full Time

Location: LS4, Leeds
Hours: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the LS4 area.

Working within the school nursery, you will support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping to create a positive, engaging and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.

The Role:
  • Supporting children aged 3-4 years within the school nursery
  • Assisting with play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS curriculum
  • Encouraging children's communication, social and emotional development
  • Supporting the class teacher and wider Early Years team throughout the school day
  • Helping to maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working within EYFS is essential
  • Experience in a school nursery, private nursery, preschool or similar Early Years setting
  • A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children's development
