Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery Group is seeking an enthusiastic Room Leader for our Watford nursery. You will manage the room daily, spark curiosity, and create a joyful, nurturing environment where children can shine.

You will build strong relationships with families and colleagues and contribute to our warm, inclusive culture. The role requires a Level 3 Childcare qualification, EYFS knowledge, good planning and observation skills, and a proactive, child-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Essential qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the EYFS and ability to refer to the EYFS Framework for planning activities.
• Awareness of planning, observation and keeping records for nursery aged children.
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and meeting their needs.
• A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Lead the room day to day, sparking curiosity and encouraging creativity.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Help create a warm, inclusive atmosphere our nurseries are known for.
• Inspire and lead a supportive team in the room.
