Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery Group is seeking an enthusiastic Room Leader to guide a caring team in a welcoming nursery setting. You will run your room day to day, spark curiosity, and foster a warm, inclusive environment for children and families.

Essential qualifications include NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent and a clear Enhanced DBS check. A strong knowledge of EYFS and planning is required to support high-quality learning.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the EYFS Framework and planning activities.
• Ability to refer to the EYFS Framework when planning activities.
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with children.
• Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Lead room day-to-day operations and supervise staff.
• Spark curiosity and nurture creativity through play.
• Build strong relationships with children and their families.
• Ensure safeguarding and safe recruitment procedures.

Located a short walk from the town centre, our purpose-built nursery offers a warm, welcoming environment. Each room has free-flow access to its own outdoor area, encouraging play throughout the day.

Our curriculum includes weekly Forest School sessions for preschool children, providing hands‑on learning in a natural setting.
