Job summary

Randstad Education in Forest Row seeks a Nursery Room Leader to head daily room operations within a nurturing Early Years setting. You will inspire and mentor practitioners, design a child-led EYFS curriculum, and maintain strong safeguarding and parental partnerships.

The role is permanent and full-time, with hours 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and a competitive salary negotiable based on experience. The ideal candidate holds a Level 3 EY qualification and proven EYFS leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Experience in an Early Years setting with understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Leadership experience is preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Room leadership: oversee day-to-day running of the room, ensure high standards of care and safety.
• Curriculum & EYFS: design and deliver a child-led curriculum aligned with EYFS.
• Team guidance: mentor, support, and supervise room staff.
• Key person duties: maintain developmental records and support learning journeys.
• Parent partnerships: communicate regularly with parents and carers.
• Safeguarding & health: uphold safeguarding and health/safety policies.
