Job summary

Randstad Education in Forest Row is seeking a Nursery Room Leader to run daily room operations, supervise staff, and provide a safe, nurturing early years environment. The role requires a Full Level 3 Early Years qualification, EYFS knowledge, and proven leadership.

You will design a child-led curriculum, maintain developmental records, build strong parent partnerships, and uphold safeguarding policies. Permanent, 8:00–18:00, negotiable salary.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE, or equivalent/above).
• Proven experience in an Early Years setting with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred, but senior practitioners are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day room operations and supervise room staff.
• Design and deliver an engaging, child-led EYFS curriculum.
• Mentor and support the team, maintaining accurate developmental records.
• Conduct assessments and support learning journeys for each child.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers through regular communication.
• Uphold safeguarding, health, and safety policies at all times.
