The Old Station Nursery Bampton in Oxfordshire is seeking a Nursery Room Leader and Room Leader/Third in Charge to guide and support a dedicated team, delivering outstanding care and education in a warm, community setting.

You must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or QTS and bring strong early years experience. DBS clearance, safeguarding commitment, and a passion for mentoring colleagues are essential.

Pay is £14.27 per hour (£29,681 per year) based on 40 hours weekly.

Our Bampton nursery is a small setting nestled in the charming village of Bampton at the end of Bowling Green Close, right next to Bampton Primary School.

What being a Nursery Room Leader / Third in Chargeinvolves

As a Nursery Third in Charge, you will work alongside the Nursery Manager to lead and inspire your team while delivering exceptional care and education. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and mentoring the team to provide high-quality early years education with passion and energy.
• Supporting the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth nursery operations and consistent quality.
• Acting as a role model by promoting initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
• Building strong relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to support the best outcomes for children.
• Overseeing the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging learning opportunities.
• Taking charge of nursery operations in the Nursery Manager’s absence.
• Encouraging continuous improvement through feedback and supporting professional development.
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that meets each child’s needs.
