KiddyKare is looking for a Room Leader to join a small and well-established nursery in Tadworth.

Duties include:

  • Operate a programme of activities suitable for the children's age range in your room, in conjunction with other staff.
  • Support all staff and engage in a positive team environment.
  • Prepare and complete activities appropriate to each child's developmental stage.
  • Ensure the room is set up each morning and toys and equipment are stored correctly.
  • Organise a rota for wall displays, updating each at least every 6 weeks.
  • Organise creative activities, ensuring children take home their creations.
  • Manage staff effectively, maintaining appropriate ratios throughout the setting.
  • Work with students assigned to your room and their supervisor, sharing your knowledge practically and theoretically.

Person Specification:

  • Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted statutory guidance.
  • At least one year of recent relevant experience.
