Prospero Teaching are looking to appoint a dedicated Nursery Room Leader in one of our excellent, warm and welcoming nurseries in Southampton. The successful candidate will demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to lead a nursery room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children and have a minimum of a Level 3 Early Years qualification.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the nursery room, ensuring high standards of care and education.
• Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities.
• Monitor and assess children’s development, providing feedback to parents and carers.
• Support and mentor nursery staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum of a Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Proven experience working with young children in a childcare setting.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to the development of young children.

• Hold the right to work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide references upon request.
• Possess up-to-date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this).
